Station Lifts Officially Opened

The new lifts at Teddington Railway Station were officially opened on Friday 23rd May. A crowd of about 40 people came along to hear from the railways about their quest to improve accessibility. Teddington was a high priority due to the 800m distance to cross platfoms without using steps!

The new Mayor Councillor Penelope Frost remarked that it was a fitting year to introduce the lifts as 2025 marks 200 years since the birth of the modern railway!

The ribbon was then cut by local MP Munira Wilson.
